Physical Distribution Group

PDG is an interest group of about sixty independent logistic service providers. Within the big picture of goods flows and distribution centres in the Netherlands this organization is the most specialized. Not only on account of its experience, organization and facilities, but also because it meets the strict requirements of the PDG Quality Mark. These requirements have been developed because logistic sub-contracting is no longer only a matter of transport, storage and distribution. There are more factors which determine whether sub-contracting will be successful. The genuine logistic service provider is characterized by a professional, industry-based organization specialized in specific product-market combinations, qualified staff, high-quality facilities, provisions for added-value activities, advanced information technology and at least ISO quality conscious. As a sub-market, PDG is part of the branch organization Transport en Logistiek Nederland. PDG members can be recognized by the PDG logo and the PDG Quality Mark for logistic services.
